Subject: A baptism in the River!
Family and Friends-
Well what a great week again! We are going to have a baptism on Saturday! Igor from Uzbekistan is going to get baptized! I have to say Igor from Uzbekistan because that makes it sound a lot cooler since actually the church is not even aloud to be in Uzbekistan but we are baptizing a guy from there! Actually, to be honest his real name is not even Igor.. his real name is Ilhom but Russians can't pronounce that so he goes by Igor. The baptism is going to be awesome though! We are also having a branch picnic on that day so we are going to baptize him in the river and then go into the woods nearby and have a picnic! Awesome!We were really worried about Igor understanding the gospel considering the fact that he doesn't speak perfect Russian and neither do we... but his progress has been amazing! He has gone from not even knowing who Christ is to the knowledge that he is our Savior and Redeemer and all in such a short amount of time! A month ago he had no idea how to pray and now it is just a natural thing and you can tell it every time he prays at our lessons! He is an amazing guy and the gospel is already blessing his life! What a miracle to be able to see someones life change and their faith in Jesus Christ grow. Words cannot explain what a blessing and privilege it is to be a missionary and representative of our Lord Jesus Christ.Well I love you all and hope that you are having a great week!
